NYOB ZOO. We are are here to help.

We are all spiritual beings endowed by our creator with the ability to love, belong, and respect one another. As children we come into this physical world with intellect, curiosity, and imagination. As we endure modernity and the commodification of time and energy, we begin to lose these elements that would help us stay connected and attuned to our ancestors, our indigenous cultures. Instead of love, belonging, and respect, we as a individuals and as a society have become disconnected and overly judgemental.

Our shaman practice and modalities are grounded in ancient wisdom, which we have honed to confront the problems created by modernity (stress, anxiety, distrust, anonmity, isolation, etc.) We believe that each of us are are here for specific purposes and these purposes can only be achieved in love, belonging, and respect. Bring your intellect, curiosity and imagination and allow us to help you heal yourself, and in turn, your familial and community relations.

We will also share essential information about Hmong shamanism: the history, our beliefs, ethical considerations, and frameworks for our practice and modalities. This first session provides the opportunity for each of us to be educated and provide informed consent to work further with one another.

SESSION 2: spiritual diagnosis

Once we’ve had the opportunity to learn more about each other, your selected practictioner will perform a spiritual diagnosis to ascertain or define potential spiritual causes or roots to your condition(s) or circumstance(s). We will provide specific recommendations on interventions depending on the spiritual ailment or needs found.

SESSION 3: spiritual HEALING CEREMONY & SERVICES

On a mutually date and time, your selected practictioner will perform a ceremony to heal your the spiritual causes or roots to your issue(s) or circumstance(s). Your friends, family, and community are welcome to attend these healing ceremonies to support you. Generally-speaking, our ceremonies are stand-alone. That is, we do not operate like Western-oriented therapists and continue to see you over a period of weeks or months. We may recommend certain ceremonies to be performed annually to assist in your spiritual growth and well-being, however, our ultimate goal is for you to have a mindset of independence and responsibility for your own spiritual health, and that of your family and community.
