Why We’ve Come Together

Mission Statement:

We create and sustain community solidarity. Our CSA supports local BIPOC farmers, communities, and the movement for food sovereignty, land reparations, and racial justice.

Values We Hold:

At Friendly Hmong Farms, our shared values unite us as one community. We define these values as follows:

COMMUNITY - a deeply understood group sense of identity, inclusion, and unity based on shared values, goals, and behaviors. At Friendly Hmong Farms, the values that unite us as a community are Equity, Dignity, Self Determination, and Solidarity.

EQUITY - overcoming injustice and unfairness caused by unequal access to economic resources and power.

HONOR & DIGNITY - the inherent right of a person to be valued and respected, regardless of their race, ethnicity, economic status, religion, culture, gender, sexuality, ability, and other identities (projected and claimed).

SELF DETERMINATION - the right of all peoples, especially Indigenous Peoples and other historically marginalized groups, to determine their own economic, social, and cultural development. It also includes the spiritual right of Indigenous Peoples to steward and access their ancestral lands, manage their own affairs, and maintain their cultural and political communities on their own terms.

SOLIDARITY - a commitment to stand up for justice and alongside those most vulnerable and marginalized.
